It is official as of yesterday…I am scheduled to take my scuba classes Aug 12th, 13th, and 14th. That is my classroom time and pool time on Saturday and Sunday. After the classes I go to Vortex Springs for my 5 certification dives.

I have the book and the study guide and also a practice test that I have to finsh before the 12th. I also have to go back and buy a few things (snorkel, fins, booties, and mask) so that i will have them for the pool time. Everything else is provided which is cool…Honestly I could dive forever without buying my own gear. Most places have rentals, the only thing I am concerned about it my height. If I want a wetsuit I am going to have to have one custom made. It seems wetsuit manufacturers think people of 6′2″ don’t have any interest in diving.

I am actually accustomed to that feeling. When I was growing up it was extremely difficult to find shoes in my size. But now I can usually find my size on the sale rack..Times change so hopefully wetsuit makers will remove their head from their 4th point of contact and make tall wetsuits…

Well I am off to study a bit before I start working…

Scuba

I have always wanted to take scuba lessons and I figured since I live on the coast now I would go for it. So I am going to get my certification in Open Water diving. I have to take a 3 day class with dives included. I’m really looking forward to it.

Vortex Spring is where I will be going to do my certs. It will probably be sometime in August hopefully…
